Vol.6 cover |
Hi everyone,
Felluah isn't divided into chapters with names like Nabi, but I think it needs some kind of title to keep track of what happens in each part, so I just pick one line from the chapter, hope it's ok :p
A Tale of Felluah vol.6 part 1
- Translator : Pual -
Arthur: "Don't pretend you don't get it."
"Well...
Being way over the line when I give a little favor
Mistaking it when I show a little smile
Men are all the same..."
"Suddenly I recall goddamn Paris!"
**
"You are the same too! Get out!"
"Should I have gone to a nunnery?"
Arthur: "Orthez, I know how to be angry too!"
"Found it."
The paper airplane:
"You'll regret it when I'm back,
Arthur."
"What the hell is this?
A challenge? A duel?
What the hell with regret, you dumb."
"So
He went out and looked upset..."
**
"...Well...
...I made him upset though...."
Won't there be something that can ease his
Irritation..."
**
"Anyway...
While Arthur is absent, I'm the lord..."
You can meet royal house of Eloisen once, and that's the..."
**
"...then if you follow this branch here...
...so this houses doesn't need titles...
...and here..."
**
"Sorry."
**
"And after that
He didn't even show up..."
The paper airplane:
"You'll regret it when I'm back,
Arthur."
It was just holding hand, and wasn't even the first time.
But, sometimes we don't know even our own mind, do we?
And understandably so, there is a saying 'how can I know you, when I don't even know myself?'"
Other people: *Pretend not seeing*
Orthez's nanny: *Hey, sit upright!*
"When we get back, I want to hold you."
"Other women
With a strange man
I wonder how they spend their wedding night?"
"At first"
**
"I, too...
...was prepared...
...I thought..."
Sound of the wind"
**
"And sound of dried leaves on grass brushed by the wind
I can see those filling this field of reeds."
Things that I can see."
**
"Things"
"Sound
That I had definitely heard."
**
"Oh, Romeo."
"Swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon that monthly changes in her circle orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.
Do not swear at all.
Or, if thou wilt"
**
"Swear by thy gracious self.
Which is the god of my idolatry, and I'll believe thee."
End part 1.

Well, I like straightforward characters. Arthur wants Orthez, he says it.
Too bad it just makes her avoid him. LOL.
The Romeo-Juliet quote is meant for whom? Arthur? Or... you-know-who...? :-s
Next part, we'll officially meet him, The Knight of Flowers. Excited guys? :D And again Igraine. Their long talk will reveal a bit about the 2 of them.
Jessie.
:DDDD Thanks for the pictures and the summary! Please tell Pual that I would like to thank him as well!
ReplyDeleteDo you think that Arthur actually likes Orthez instead of just being fond of her? I feel like it's just a very, very slight love, but he still has many feelings for Igraine.
Also, is there anything I can do to help? I don't know Korean and have little skills, but I still want to know if there's something I can do. I'll make an account if you think that there's something I can help out with.
Heyy are you Nightace? :p I tried to reply via email, did you receive? If you're not, can you give me a way to contact you? Anyhow, thank you so much or your offer :D
DeleteAbout Arthur and Orthez, yes I agree. Like Arthur thought in the previous part: "Although heart doesn't tremble...but we could reach to NEAR heaven...", I think it means Arthur thought they could try to be happy together, and you only try with the person you have a bit of feeling for. It also means "love" isn't in the equation yet, still a long way to reach there. But again yeah, Igraine is still in his mind. Actually I prefer that over Arthur just forgetting her and falling for Orthez right away, it'd make him a changeable guy and the story a boring cliche.
Thanks, Jessie! Thanks, Pual!
ReplyDeleteOh, man, this line: "Orthez, when we get back to Felluah, I want to hold you." - Be still, my heart! lol If I were Orthez, I'd be anxious-excited about this!
Arthur is such a kid, paper airplanes and all, lol. Orthez's reaction is funny. She's really gives him a different experience, and people would have to be brave to challenge her - she can cut most down with just a few words. I adore Orthez - yes to strong, bold women!
I know romance is the main focus, but I always wondered what it is that Arthur does besides pore over family history and such. He's a count, he must be involved on some political level with the king besides managing his castle and attending social gatherings. I wonder what would happen if war occurred...but I don't want any tragic endings. ;; Anyway, I'm curious to see him address people politically.
Thank you very much Jessie & Pual. :)) I hope the Romeo-Juliet quote is meant for Arthur. Oh no! oh no! Will The Knight of Flowers spread troubles for Arthur & Orthez??
ReplyDeletethank you so much Jessie and Pual <3 i want more of Arthur x Orthez scene ><
ReplyDeleteThanking Jessie and Pual!!!
ReplyDeleteI must say Orthez is beautiful and ohmygosh I can't wait!!
Thank you so much, Jessie and Pual :)
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who feel that this chapter proves that Orthez has come to care to Arthur so much? At first, she prepared for the wedding night, likely that she didn't care about who her husband was and prepared for a marriage out of duty: marriage, give birth, be a perfect wife. But now she clearly states her out mind, be herself and scare of one step forward (a.k.a the first night) You could be a doll in front of people you don't give a thought about, but couldn't in front of people you care for and respect ^^
Though this makes me wonder why Orthez was so fast at marrying Arthur. It seems that her father really loves her, allow her to pick her own husband (though not as much as allow a knight to become his son-in-law), didn't force her to marry Paris even though the whole country knows that Paris is crazy about her
A late response :p Yes I so agree with your points!! This part shows that Orthez has come to really care about Arthur - as a man, a husband. while it was clear that she didn't care about who husband was and so at first. And of course it points out the question you ask, why she chose to marry to Felluah, and so fast? The former, I don't wanna say it was because of a knight... ;_; The latter, it might because of Paris, don't you think? She got to marry as soon as possible to escape from Paris. If she gave him time, he might propose to her, and she just couldn't reject because of course, he's the crown prince!
DeleteHi there, I just came across this blog and I cannot contain my excitement !!! I have always been a big fan of kim yeon joo, unfortunately there wasn't anywhere which is selling the english translated version manhwa (or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough for it, lol). Anyway, thank you so so much for going through all the trouble of scanning, translating and sharing it to the public ! Thanks for being so awesome =P
ReplyDeleteHi momo,
DeleteIt's not that you wasn't looking hard enough, but really there isn't english translated version of KYJ's manhwa :( Can only buy Korean version then insert the translation into it, or at least I did so lol.
Thank you for your support momokun :D
Thank you so much Jessie and Pual ♪ヽ(´▽`)/
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind, can you tell me where you buy the volumes? I want to buy it too (*ノ▽ノ)
Thank you again (^^~)
Thank you so much Jessie and Pual ♪ヽ(´▽`)/
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind, can you tell me where you buy the volumes? I want to buy it too (*ノ▽ノ)
Thank you again (^^~)
Hi nanamimi,
DeleteYou can buy the volumes on some Korean sites pretty easily: gmarket.co.kr, yes24.com, aladin.co,kr. The only difficult part is you have to arrange international shipping by yourself T.T
Thus, you can buy ebook version on yes24.com as well if you don't/can't wanna deal with shipping.
Hope it's helpful. :D
Kyaaaa~~~ I was right about the meaning of hug, my god this might be the first work of KMJ that the hero actively pursues the heroine in her other works there are hints but very tiny...
ReplyDeleteSPOILER BEGIN:
(Girl Queen - only one scene I think out of the whole manga and Sezru's feeling for June was never clear up to the end, Platina - nearing the end but again only hints, NaBi - (I haven't read the scans here since Nabi's story is much more complex than pelluah so I want to read everything in english) 15 volumes and we still only get hints which is why I'm surprised that the other world Ryu Sang is so bold and now Arthur and in only SIX volumes, what's happening to KMJ, did she found her true love that's why she can openly portray romantic love to her characters now? If that is so, I'm very happy for her and her work.)
SPOILER END
Anyway I was confused by this chapter, am I right to assume Arthur got mad at Orthez because she let go of his hand?? LOL that's super cute XD I wonder if Arthur acted the same way to Ingraine when he was pursuing her, I feel that their relationship with each other is a bit mellow compared to Orthez and Arthur's banter.
LOL to Jules, I think he is the only man who is immune to Orthez's charm, he is awesome~
Wow! I was surprised that Nox was also forward with his feelings to Orthez or maybe he is the handsome teasing guy who is actually a pervert XD
and finally those shakespeare line yeah I don't have comment on those since I didn't understand it, I was never good with poetry.
Again thank you so much for this awesome preview, it is very much appreciated Pual and Jessie :)
Lol I'm not sure this is a good sign from the author Rizz. I mean, some fans, like myself, loveeee the subtle romance in her work, it's that super super subtle but brilliant thing has made me a huge fan of hers. But it's clear that general readers don't get it, by the fact that her series aren't popular worldwide... That's why she tried changing with PI maybe? More romance, more readers. But I just love the old way... ;_;
DeleteIt doesn't mean I don't love PI of course, it's still a great series!
Yeah you're right Arthur got mad because Orthez let go of his hand, such a guy Lol
Yes to Jules and Nox as well ahaha.
Hmm the Shakespeare lines. You can always google them and you'll see some sites explaining them in a simple modern way. I did that too tbh :)) It is meaningful to the story line I think. Maybe I should have translated it in the simple way instead of the original like this? But the author put it in a quote " " so I don't know... :(
Thank you and again thank you.
ReplyDelete*blushes*
ReplyDeleteCutee.
I love Orthez. And Arthur.
Both are such cuties~
Thaaaank you for the translations!
(PS. I found your website thanks to Raffmanga)
Again, thaanks!
Wow, thanks Jessie and Paul!
ReplyDeleteI reread this part quite a feel times and even research trying to make sense of the quotes and metaphors being used here before making this comment LOL. Feel like I am decoding a literature test question><
At first I thought that the field of reed was referring to Orthez, suggesting that her heart is swayed by Arthur's actions and sincerity. However, in the chapter "The language of flowers of reeds", the KYJ nim seem to be referring to Arthur as the reed. Therefore, It may that Orthez have noticed Arthur have grown to become more fond of her instead.
So if the Shakespeare's quote was meant for Nox, I was thinking could it be that Orthez was generalizing how flicker man can be like reeds, so easily swayed by the wind...
Reading KYJ's manhwa is indeed like decoding some series of hints and tests >.<
DeleteI agree with you, and a bit added: the Shakespeare quote is meant for men (and love) in general in Orthez's opinion. Arthur loved Igraine, now he grows fond of Orthez; Nox might have something for her, but it didn't end well. Love can change, that's why she's afraid of believing in it, like believing in a relationship with Arthur now.
I got some feelings with some lines in this part though, when Orthez thinks "...filling in this field of reeds.... Things that I had definitely seen. Sound that I had definitely heard." Not mention the "reeds" again, but what had she seen and heard? Felluah's scenery that she heard from Nox? Something he told her? Ugh many hints, many questions, no answers yet =(
Hello Anon and Jessie, I was thinking if the reeds can be the feelings of love she already knew (with Nox) and the leaves are covering that bad experience and clouding her mind and determination to not fall in love again (new feelings she didn't expect and she didn't want: she is wavering like the men) It seems this 4 people are never in armony; when the text a "couple that doesn't fit" to who is refering? in the vol.8 you can see Nox and Orthez in the same color and Arthur and Igraine in the other color in that sense their personalities fit for two adventurous and unconventional characters and two ruled by norms and prejudge in their little world.
DeleteHi Jessie this will be my new ID =D
ReplyDelete~Previously, known as Anonymous haha
Lol welcome!! xD
