Hi everyone,

As requested, simultaneous updates between Nabi and PI.

I need some help first, can anyone pls tell me about this? Wikipedia tells me that "His Majesty" refers to the King, and "His Highness" refers to the (crown) Prince. "His Highness" isn't used for the King. Is it correct? Someone from a country which had or still has the royal family maybe, so can be sure about it? I want to prevent this mistake from future chapters.

Another matter, in PI vol.2, perhaps some of you noticed some 'strange' lines regarding Arthur and Orthez's marriage, Duke Tessa, Marquis Ricel, Prince Paris and the King's involvement. I tried to make sense of it at that time but failed. So I just asked Pual for help (as always :p), and this is his translation:

Duke Pano: "Arthur
Does the Duke of Tessa know?"

Arthur: "I think he will know sooner or later."

Duke Pano: "That's true. But what will he do when he finds out?
He could say that you guys were relatives so the marriage was invalid.
He would insist that since Orthez was still a virgin, it would be null."
He would just do so, and that was it."

Duke Pano: "It's a bit unpleasant that the King and the Marquis are added into this.
What are you going to do, now that the two father and son of the Eloison royal family are involved with you?"

"Does Duke Tessa know?" - about Arthur and Orthez haven't consummated their marriage, I guess?
"The King and the Marquis are added into this" - into Igraine's situation, Duke Pano surely knows about Igraine and Arthur.
"The two father and son of the royal family are involved with you" - in an awkward way, the King with Igraine, the Prince with Orthez. Arthur, you poor guy, lol.
--> Does it make things a bit clearer? :D

How to read the newest chapters of Nabi and Pellua Iyagi.

Oh My I just can't believe I was so mindless that I never thought of this before. Basically you can download the magazine app from AppStore or GooglePlay, then you can get the monthly issue from there for a cheap price. So simple. And here I was head-aching thinking about shipping the physical magazines from Korea lol.

Here are some simple instructions.

Nabi:

Nabi is being published on Issue magazine, so go search for [이슈] on AppStore/GooglePlay. There's a "subscribed fee" of $9.99 for a year. After paying that you'll get all the issues from this point forward for one year!. I.e: I just paid this month - October, I'll receive all issues from October 2015 to October 2016. Sweet deal! It has the newest release as the physical magazine. For the older issues it was $0.99/each.  

Pellua Iyagi:

You need Party magazine so search for [파티] or [파티 만화] or [파티 plus] (depends on iOS or Android). I don't know why but you can get 3 latest issues for free, but have to pay $0.99 for each older one. For example I got the issues of October-September-August for free, but had to pay to get the July one.

It isn't updated to the latest issue though. The November issue is published already but there's only until October in the app. Guess we have to wait for a month, but it's free so can't complain.

This plus the ebook version on yes24 I posted earlier, I think now everyone can have the newest chapters of Nabi and PI. So this blog's job here is done bye everyone lol.

Editing this part, I couldn't help but thinking I've done a poor job with my previous summaries. I left out many small details that didn't seem important at the time. But we know how KYJ-nim's stories are, in the end those small details really matter. Hence, I think I'm having to go back and improve the old posts, gradually. Can't post all the pages because editing out all texts would take forever, but at least I can provide translation for every line in the story. So here's the first improved summary. Improved work for vol.17 and 18 will be following soon.

Man there are a lot of things I want to say.

Firstly, Korean copies are superb. I purchased some Japanese original copies before and their quality was really nice. This is the first time I did with the Korean ones, they are even better. The quality of the cover, colored artwork, papers, and printing, all are amazing. Therefore, a familiar encouragement: if you love the series, please buy the hard copies to support the author if possible. Holding those excellent copies is a real pleasure, even if we can't read Korean.

Secondly, the Korean God granted my wish and brought me a Korean translator: Yang-sshi, or let's call him Pual :p He's just brilliant! I couldn't ask him to translate all the volume with about 160 pages, so I only sent him the important parts (in my opinion), figured we could do some educated guesses with the rest. Hence, he got some random pages in the middle of vol.19 (yay stupid me T_T), while he never read Nabi before, and we all know how vague and confusing Nabi's story line is. But what did he do? He gave me the translating which was 100% accurate with the story. It also took him from 7pm to 4am to do it. I can't thank you enough Pual. Hope everyone can spend a minute to leave a thank-you to him too :)

Lastly, I said it before I had no intentions of providing HQ scans. I respect RH so much for what they do, hence want to wait for their releases, for both translating and scanning aspects. Therefore, while I'm posting all the pages, because we're gonna have to do some guess works, there's no HQ and no scans, just pictures like always, for the purpose of catching up only.

Ok let's start :D And pls don't forget to leave some responses for me and especially for the translator.

As promised, this is vol. 17 summary. I read vol.18 and it explains some, not all, of this volume confusion. My take is vol.17 only gives us all the headlines, vol.18 (and 19...) will state the contexts and details later. So don't worry even if things don't make sense yet. One thing I can tell, vol.18 is very exciting, the story line will take a big leap!!

Btw Royal Hearts just released 5 parts of vol.15 and 16, have you checked? RH is awesome! After reading and comparing to the English version, I'm relieved that my interpreting and translating weren't wrong. What do you guys think after reading those chapters fully? I'd be more than happy to hear some thoughts.

Nabi vol.17 Preview - The meaning of the manhwa title.

Hi everyone,

I want to summarize vol.17 for you guys right away, but the thing is I don't understand half of it. You think after that whole alternative universe confusion, the main story line would become clear now? Nope. Vol.17 just creates more puzzles. Well, we all know how Kim Yeon-joo's stories are, you can't get them volume by volume but you need the whole story to understand something in vol.1. That's why I'll wait for vol.18 with hope that it'll make things clearer, so I can do summaries on vol.17 properly. Only 2 more days, vol.18 is scheduled on Sep 4th, please be patient folks. I promise it'll be as soon as possible.

One more *small* thing, there are quite a number of people reading this blog, but very few are nice enough to show me their ideas/support via comments. It's quite discouraged for me to keep going on. Having all silent readers is never a pleasure guys.

I'm surprised I could finish vol.16 in only 2 parts. Just hope that I didn't miss anything important :-ss In my defense :p there aren't many things happen in the whole volume anyway. To sum up, it's only to make some points clear: that there are 2 different states of So-ryu; Ryu Sang always care for Myo-un, whether Myo-un exists or not; and So-ryu'd do anything to keep Ha-rim alive.

Here are my opinions about the questions posted earlier:

Nabi vol.16 part 1 - KISS SCENE!!

I'll try to finish vol.16 soon so we can get some discussion. Yet it doesn't seem easy because the story flow is so confusing, it just goes back and forth between time, places, and characters. It makes summarizing really difficult. My head hurts writing this post :'( Well, I tried my best, hope that it's not so bad. And of course, the most waited scene, makes all troubles worth it :D

Nabi vol.17 Spoilers.

Tadaa I just got vol.17 today. It is awesome, as always. It confirms my theory about So-ryu's state, can't wait to share with you guys! On the other hand, it creates more and more confusion which is really bad for my heart ~ Okay alright I'll post about it later, after I finish summarizing vol.16. Just that there is ONE SCENE I HAVE TO SHARE RIGHT NOW!! Reminder: this is the real world, they come back to the main story line. See and interpret for yourself, since I'm just as clueless as you are.

I'm Jessie. I'm a huge fan of Kim Yeon-joo nim, my favourite of her works is Nabi, and Felluah is the very close second. Unfortunately, it seems like they are not very popular, at least internationally. It's difficult to find a place to discuss and share things about them with other people. Moreover, we're really far behind in terms of catching up with the original releases in Korea: Nabi is on its way of vol.19, yet we haven't completed vol.15 (Felluah's newest release is on vol.7, we only have til vol.4). Guess I'm lucky since Nabi has been licensed and published in my country. Vol.16 was published a year ago, vol.17 and 18 has recently been announced that they'll be on shelf next week.
